Instructions & Precautions

* Before starting, clean the treatment area with alcohol swabs and let it dry. * Remove paper from the bottom of the holder or base & light up the moxa. * Align the aperture at the base with chosen acupuncture points and affix to the skin. * Please ensure good adherence when affixing the stick-on moxa to the skin. * During treatment, depending on location of therapy, skin sensitivity and types of moxa used, consider using a heat buffering shield to reduce excess heat penetration. In general, stick-on moxa with strong heat release should be removed when three quarters of the moxa shaft has been combusted or when the patient feels it's uncomfortably hot. Leaving the moxa till fully combusted may result in blister formation or burns injury. * When removing moxa, pinch the holder at the base. Do not directly grip the shaft of the holder while it's hot. Use a heat insulating glove if necessary.
