These ceramic cups are a new addition to our cupping range. They are alternatives to glass cups.
 
It has been established that ceramics, when heated, releases infrared rays which provide extra therapeutic benefit in addition to its cupping effect.
 
The cups come in five sizes and are sold as a set or individually.

These bamboo cups are hand crafted from selected naturally grown bamboo. The cups are fire resistant, light and the edges of the mouth are sharper than that found on glass cups.
 
One of the traditional indications for cupping is dispelling cold in the channels. The clinical effect is partly the result of applying hot cups.
 
For example, bamboo cups would be boiled in an herbal decoction just prior to applying to the skin (this is one type of shuiguanfa, or liquid cupping, so-called because a liquid is incorporated into the treatment).
 
Traditional heated cupping therapy has some similarity to moxibustion therapy. In this case, the cups are hot and have a stimulating effect something like that of burning moxa punk

These rubber bulb glass suction cups are designed for ease of application.
 
To apply simply squeeze then release the rubber bulb. Its application does not require a hand pump and also avoid any risk that may be associated with traditional glass fire cupping techniques. It can be applied at home for self therapy.
 
The bulb is made of high quality durable rubber and the Ener-Qi glass cups can also be sterilised.

The HACI magnetic needle cups are applied more for its acupressure and bio-magnetic effect than its cupping effect.
 
The magnetic needle (or probe) exert strong acupressure effect without penetrating the skin. This is ideally suited to use in needle-phobic patients and in children, or where HACI needle therapy is indicated.
 
It also exert powerful bio-magnetic effect with colour coded poles (blue - north or negative, red - south or positive) with over 2000 gauss.

The cups are small compared to regular suction cups, hence provide a strong suction effect over a small area.
